5th International Conference - Wind Energy in Romania
![]() |
Romania has the highest wind potential in South Eastern Europe. A study of Erste Bank places Romania and especially the Dobrogea Region with Constanţa and Tulcea counties as the second best place in Europe to construct wind farms due to its large wind potential.
Romania is set to significantly expand its wind energy capacity over the coming years, improving on its position as one of the European countries with the lowest amount of wind farm capacity installed. Currently the country has 582 MW (according to statistics Transelectrica 2011) of wind power installed capacity, but the European Wind Energy Association, in its recently published Pure Power report, predicts this will rise to 3,500 MW, all of that onshore wind power.
Investors need to be informed about the actual status, law, financing possibilities of wind energy in the region. That is why REECO, Renewable Energy Exhibition and Conference Organiser all over Europe, considers it its task to keep the tradition of the last years and create a meeting platform for wind energy experts in the framework of the 5th International Conference - Windpower in Romania and the Festive Evening for Networking, the biggest meeting point for wind energy in Romania.
